This years PPA Digital Production Conference - "Breaking the Barriers to Digital Production" - will be themed around breakthroughs in digital production workflow.
The topic has been chosen because digital production has become a reality, but there are still obstacles to be overcome to make the most of the opportunities it presents to publishers.
At the conference the PPA will announce details of standards for the delivery and proofing of advertising material, which is the culimination of two years of discussion and research.
A session entitled the Responsibility Chain will discuss accountability in the workflow when problems occur. The panel will include representatives from ad agencies, publishers, repro houses and printers.
Other sessions will cover e-commerce and colour management.
The keynote address will be presented by industry consultant Andrew Tribute.
Following the conference will be the PPA Digital Production Awards and dinner.
The event will take place on 2 November at the Grosvenor House in London.
