The request comes after a letter from Gillian Wilmot, managing director of Mail Markets, the Royal Mail business unit responsible for driving the project, in which she said the magazine sector would not lose out.
However, the PPA said her statement was at odds with feedback from its
members.
The association has already warned that the proposals could wipe out A3 weekly news-based magazines (PrintWeek, 14 June). A month later it also claimed A4 magazines would suffer if they strayed marginally over the 10mm thickness and 250g weight thresholds.
