MaxPro, which was developed by ISIGS – the Malaysian developer behind Compose System's Star Proof software – consists of three software applications: MaxPro RIP, MaxPro and MaxStep.
The MaxPro suite, which is aimed at the packaging pre-press market, allows users to apply individual zonal traps to continuous tone, high-resolution continuous tone and linework elements.
It also manipulates process and spot colour plates individually or globally, and creates bespoke separations, as well as allowing the creation of step-and-repeat layouts for a wide variety of printing processes.
Andy Beesley, technical sales director at Pomeroy, said: "MaxPro is a breath of fresh air into a sector which for so many years has seen little choice in terms of alternative pre-press solutions.
"With MaxPro, pre-press operators now have a suite of innovative, powerful and affordable tools to quickly and efficiently create final layout files."
Steve Donegan, managing director of Graphic Republik, added: "We are pleased to be working alongside Pomeroy and to be supported by a team that offers in-depth knowledge of the flexographic printing industry and a highly professional approach to customer care."
The MaxPro suite was launched at the Drupa Innovation Parc in 2008.
Pomeroy chosen as MaxPro software distributor for UK
Graphic Republik, the European distributor for the MaxPro image editor, which debuted at last year's Drupa, has signed up Pomeroy to bring the software to the UK market.
