Polestar has been awarded a two-year contract worth around 180,000 a year to produce Fusion, the in-house magazine for finance sector trade union UNIFI.
The first issue of the 48pp bi-monthly magazine was printed web offset at Polestars East Kilbride plant using CTP technology.
The East Kilbride facility was a significant factor in UNIFIs choice of a suitable print plant for the job. The union wanted to speed up production times and improve the finished product.
Fusion was previously produced by Goodhead, but UNIFI wanted to find a printer that could also handle distribution, which previously had been handled by a separate company.
UNIFI is one of the largest white-collar trade unions in the UK, and the largest specialist finance sector union in the world.
