Polestar Sheffield celebrates tip-on record

Polestar Sheffield has beaten its own record for applying sachets into a newspaper supplement.

Four of the company's Ferag finishing lines were used to tip-on over 1m Clinique cosmetic sachets for beauty brand Estée Lauder – the highest number the company has ever applied.

The items were glued into copies of You magazine, which accompanies Associated Newspapers' Mail on Sunday.

Polestar account director Jeff White said: "We achieved consistently high hit rates throughout the run, reflecting the skill levels of Polestar Sheffield's bindery services. As we continue to make progress, it is an exciting time for all involved here.

"The combination of our highly trained and motivated workforce and our new equipment ensures we can compete with the best in Europe.

"We realise that is important to be flexible and accommodate the needs of our clients and their advertisers during these very difficult economic times," he added.
