Former Redwood Books general manager Trevor Gee will join Polestar in the newly created role of Watmoughs manufacturing director on Monday (19 March).
Gee left the CPI subsidiary two weeks ago after his role became redundant following a restructure. Redwood was merged into CPIs main site Bath Press and its short-run arm Bookcraft in the new year.
Peter Leach, who headed up CPIs digital operations at Bookcraft, has also found himself without a job. But while his role is redundant he is still under contract with the book group. "At the moment Im sorting out my differences with CPI," he said.
Leach and Gee both applied for the role of Bookcraft general manager following the merger, but the job went to Paul Ford.
CPI UK managing director Peter Palframan said he was "delighted" Gee had found a new job so quickly, and added that he would "endeavour to assist Leach in finding alternative employment".
