Polestar Applied renewed its contract with Monarch, which covers the management and production of a wide range of print, following the expiration of its previous agreement and a three-month competitive tender process.
Craig Cherry, head of group procurement at Monarch, cited Polestar's "competitive pricing" and "investment in new technologies" as reasons to remain with the group, which spent £4m on digital kit as the start of the year.
Meanwhile, Polestar Petty was chosen to print the first issue of Blue Tomato – the latest free magazine to be distributed in London – which features information on the best food, drink and lifestyle in the capital.
Darren Hassall, managing director of the magazine's publisher, Vita Visio, said that Polestar Petty's "prestigious client list, cost effective price and impeccable service" had led to the decision.
Polestar in double contract win
Polestar Applied Solutions has signed a three-year print management contract with Monarch Travel Group as Polestar Petty announced that it had been awarded the print contract for bi-monthly freesheet Blue Tomato.
