The firm will take delivery of a Polar 92 XT in April, which will complement a Stahl KH66 folder that was bought last year.

In October 2005, Aylesbury-based PelicanPrint purchased an Autobond TP52 B2 laminator.

"As JDF becomes more established, we need to have equipment that is capable of being operated via this technological advancement," said PelicanPrint joint managing director Gerald Costello.

He added that the firm will be having a "very close look" at digital at Ipex with a view to entering the sector in the "foreseeable future".

"Our strong client base has considerable digital spend and we feel that offering this service would be a very good fit with our existing B2 sheetfed operation,"  Costello added.

PelicanPrint & Design has a turnover of 2.1m and a workforce of 28. The company is targeting ISO accreditations 9001 and 14001 over the coming months.
