Zenith in Polar guillotine buy

Zenith Media is following its purchase of a six-colour Komori at this years Drupa with a 115,000 guillotine.

The Polar 115X with jogging, stacking and Transomat unloading systems is due at its Welsh plant next month.

"We anticipate 40 per cent higher productivity  with the system compared with other guillotines," said managing director Max Moody, who traded in a Polar 92 for the new model.

The Taffs Well firm uses its Drupa-bought Komori LS640 press to produce material for the Welsh National Assembly.

It also recently scooped a three-year contract to roll out 15 booklets for Companies House and is gearing up  for accreditation to a fully integrated ISO management system early next year.

"Our main investments are going towards health-and-safety, environmental and quality-control accreditation," said Moody.

"That's challenging, but we are a stronger company for starting it and will be stronger when it's finished," he added.
