Pitney Bowes president retires

Pitney Bowes International has announced that its executive vice president and president Patrick Keddy will retire from the company at the end of the year.

Keddy joined the company in 1989 as marketing manager for Pitney Bowes Financial Services in the UK.

He went on to become managing director of the unit in 1994, vice president of Financial Services International in 1996 and two years later was promoted to president of Pitney Bowes Mailing Systems for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

According to the company, it was in this role he oversaw "dramatic growth and expansion" of the company’s presence in his markets, which ultimately led to revenues being quadrupled and a substantial increase in the company's overall global portfolio.

He was named executive vice president and president for Pitney Bowes Mailstream International in 2005, and assumed his current role in 2009, which added responsibilities for management services, production mail, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Chairman, president and chief executive Murray Martin said: "Keddy made significant contributions to Pitney Bowes over his career and has been a key driver in our international growth. I will greatly miss his counsel and his insights. I thank Patrick for his leadership, and wish him and his family well in the years ahead."
