The 2,700sph B2 inkjet Jet Press has been fully up and running since July.
It joins two B2 Heidelberg Speedmaster multi-colour litho presses at the firm’s 3,900sqm manufacturing facility.
Pipi Print and Packaging sales director Hitesh Parmar said the decision to bring digital printing in-house was driven by the firm’s desire to “improve production speed, reduce waste, and maintain superior colour consistency”.
“As our first investment in a digital press, the Jet Press 720S has revolutionised our operation. This efficiency, along with the excellent colour consistency and reduced waste, is a significant advancement for our company,” he stated.
Martin Fairweather, national digital business development manager at Fujifilm UK said he was delighted at the firm’s decision.
“It’s been a pleasure to work with such a forward-thinking company that values both quality and sustainability.
“We are confident that this press will help them achieve their operational goals and open up new opportunities in the packaging market.”
Pipi Print and Packaging will highlight its expanded capabilities at the upcoming London Packaging Week event at the ExCel centre, which runs from 11-12 September.
Pipi is a second generation family business that was established in 1982.
