The Photobition Forum Action Group has gained the support of former directors Phil Parkinson and Mick Green.
The group also said talks were progressing with major institutions that have significant shareholdings in Photobition, as it seeks to outline its opposition to the proposed MBO led by chief executive Eddie Marchbanks.
It also plans to put forward a nominee chief executive (PrintWeek, 17 August).
Although former Photobition director and Forum founder Bob Bushby confirmed that an alternative chief executive had been selected, the Forum declined to name who the nominee was, other than to say that he had no beneficial interest in the company.
Richmond Capital Partners chief executive Paul Holohan said it would not be appropriate for him to comment on whether his company had been approached for a possible candidate.
Rumours also continue to circulate that the Photobition MBO, put together by Marchbanks and finance officer Steven Smith, is set to collapse, but as PrintWeek went to press no one from Photobition was available for comment.
