A partnership within a process and manufacturing industries SSC now looks likely after the publishing sector rejected the proposal of an alliance. Even combined, the PGC NTO and the Photo Imaging NTO has "too small a footprint" to create a council.
NTO members have been disappointed with the delays by the government and the SSDA in implementing the new programme, which so far has failed to set up the six "trailblazer" SSCs chosen last October.
The PGC NTO also has copies of the new Modern Apprenticeship framework, which has been approved by the Learning and Skills Council. Copies cost 15.
