The publisher has launched Penguin e-book Tasters that allow readers to sample the beginning of new titles by downloading them on to the new Sony device.

Titles included in the range are Things I Want My Daughter to Know by Elizabeth Noble, The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope and King of Swords by Nick Stone.

Penguin digital publisher, Jeremy Ettinghausen, said: "Our job as publishers is to make authors work as widely available as possible – e-books give readers greater choice as to how, where and when they buy and read books, which can only be a good thing."
