The Telford web offset and sheetfed commercial printer has invested around £1m in two Log Stacking Systems from Rima-System.
The new kit replaces an old Muller Martini setup.
Operations director Adam Walker commented: “This investment is another step forward for PCP as we continue to seek ways to improve our manufacturing capabilities and product quality.
“We are committed to investing in cutting-edge technology in order to provide the best products to our customers while minimising our environmental impact.”
PCP said that the benefits included improved press and bindery manufacturing efficiencies, uptime, as well as protection against obsolete parts.
The firm runs web presses from Manroland and Komori: two 32pp and a 16pp, along with B1 sheetfed presses from RMGT and Heidelberg. It has a wide range of in-house post-press kit in its bindery including stitching and perfect binding.
Its services span magazine, catalogue and brochure printing, along with mailing and fulfilment.
PCP had sales of more than £36m in its most recent accounts, for 2022, and employed around 220 staff.
The firm is part of the £115m turnover Claverley Group.
