Evans replaces Mark Brownrigg, who has left the £28.3m turnover business after three-and-a-half years at the helm.
PCP said that after a number of years working away from his home base, Brownrigg had stepped down to spend more time with his family.
Evans has worked at the Telford magazine and commercial printer for nearly a decade. He joined in 2014 as commercial manager and was promoted to commercial director in 2016.
He has spent more than 25 years working in heatset web offset.
Evans commented: “I am delighted to be appointed managing director of PCP. Despite the challenging market conditions, we’ve all faced in recent years, it’s great being able to continue serving our fantastic customer base while retaining the ethics of a family business, which we still are.”
Separately, PCP parent Claverley Group has announced another publishing buy.
At the end of last month it completed on a deal to buy London B2B specialist Lyonsdown, with brands including Business Reporter and cyber security specialist TEISS.
Lyonsdown remains in London with all staff retained. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Claverley has completed five buys in fives years, most recently Kennedy Publishing.
