Paperlinx finalises Hampshire regional sales setup

Paperlinx has opened a new sales office in the Arena Business Centre in Fareham, near Southampton as part of the ongoing process of decentralising its UK sales.

Staff from Paperlinx's former Hampshire base have relocated to the new office, which, together with Shoreham, is led by regional general manager Colleen Hankin, whose appointment was announced in January.

Hankin, who joined Paperlinx from Office Depot UK at the beginning of March, has overall responsibility for external and internal sales, dedicated logistics, inventory management, credit and finance across the region.

The move follows the merchant group's decision, announced in October last year, to disband its centralised account management team and revert to a regional sales focus.

Paperlinx said that customers across the region served by the Southampton and Shoreham offices, including Hampshire, Dorset, Reading and Sussex, would have access to over 30,000 tonnes of materials stocked by the company, available for next-day or same-day delivery.
