Following last year's roll out of the paper merchant's Car Wrap Club initiative, which included a partnership with UKSG to provide members of the scheme with vehicle wrapping training from a converted HGV "training truck", Paperlinx has opened the training courses up to non-members.
As such the two companies will now be providing training courses around the country from their mobile training facility, while all courses are wholly independent and endorsed by the British Sign and Graphics Association.
The first wave of courses starts in Manchester on 18 March, followed by Northampton (8 April), London (29 April), Shoreham-by-Sea (13-16 May) and Bristol (19 May).
Available courses include a two-day vehicle wrap training course, aimed at people who can already apply vinyl to a reasonable standard; the course takes delegates through the full process of wrapping a vehicle step-by-step, using Orafol, 3M and Avery materials, and costs £450.
A one-day vinyl application course - costing £275 - is available for both novice and advanced levels, as well as a one-day accreditation programe for experienced vinyl and wrap technicians, costing £300.
Meanwhile, Paperlinx has also announced an exclusive mainland UK distribution deal with Macedonian Paper Mills for its range of grey back, kraft back and triplex board.
The recycled cartonboard range will be sold under the Huntsman brand and is available in weights ranging from 280-550gsm. Paperlinx graphic and cartonboard sales manager Tony Myers hailed the "key strategic partnership".
"This enables us to offer customers a range of environmentally-friendly, cost-effective products that are suitable for a variety of packaging applications," he added.
The mill is FSC accredited and both the triplex and kraft back boards conform to ISEGA food standards.
