Paper Idea brings Optimus MIS products suite to India

Optimus has announced its Indian entry. The European suppliers of Management Information System (MIS) products and solutions, has named Paper Idea as the sole Indian distributor for Optimus MIS products.

Anuj A Mehta, director of Paper Idea said: "Optimus MIS adds-up to the many first launches by Paper Idea to bring the best to Indian printers. We are uniquely placed to supply and support potential Indian customers of Optimus with their existing customer base and with new enquiries."

The announcement comes after the launch of the new Optimus Dash at Ipex 2010 – the MIS for Digital and Creative Media Companies to complement Optimus 2020 for litho print companies. Optimus reported a high level of interest from the Indian print companies and has responded by this appointment in order to satisfy the demand for Optimus MIS solutions in India.

Nicola Bisset, Optimus group managing director said: "Paper Idea and Optimus share common business ethos. We employ a consultative approach in helping customers achieve greater profitability through the elimination of wasteful processes and the automation of administrative tasks."

Issues like turnaround time, estimates & quotes, click charges in digital, square metre pricing in large-format and a streamlined and automated way of pricing for outworked elements and processes unrelated to production, like design and consulting hours are often neglected. Optimus successfully addresses such issues to make printers more competitive, added Mehta.

Dash is the MIS for digital and creative media companies operating on a campaigns rather than a job basis. Though dedicated to digital, Dash can do any estimation and incorporates an open architecture for seamless integration with third-party web-to-print (W2P) systems such as RedTie, cXML or APIs.

Now available in India, Optimus has been supplying MIS since 1982. With a global sales network, Optimus MIS systems are in use in more than 20 countries including UK, Germany, Holland, Spain, Colombia, Australia, South Africa, Italy, Portugal, The Netherlands, South Africa, the Baltic States, and Southern America.
