The story in the Toronto Star claimed that the global print giant had informed staff at the facility in Strasbourg of its plans, but that details of the closure were still to be negotiated with the workers' union.
According to the Quebecor World website, the only site it operates in Strasbourg is Imprimerie Alsacienne Didier-Quebecor. The gravure and offset facility is part of Didier, the largest commercial printer in France.
Quebecor World was unavailable for comment.
