Inspiration comes, then, from Stalham printer Century Printing, which has adopted a Pantone theme for its contribution to the town’s annual Christmas tree festival, involving a plethora of trees decorated by local businesses and associations filling the local church. “We’ve used 96 colours and I did my best to try not to duplicate any,” explains sales manager Katie Newman.
Century takes part in the tree fest every year with a print-themed entry, with previous creative treatments including ‘stars of printing’ and ‘wayzgoose’.
We also like the fact that Century has eschewed Pantone’s own colours of the year – rose quartz and serenity – for a more eclectic riot of colour look.
“I imagine this is the first time that Pantone has been represented in this manner,” notes a suitably satisfied Newman. “For a small high-street printer we have certainly made a big impact.”
