The machine, which was supplied by Inca distributor Fujifilm, has replaced an existing Inca Columbia flatbed printer at the Slough-based company, which is part of marketing services provider OMM Group.
OMM Group commercial director Howard Campion said that the new machine will help the company to offer new products such as point of purchase (POP) displays and packaging.
"We’ve set challenging targets for OMM Print and the Onset S$0 is one of the keys to reaching them," Campion said. "It marks a step change in our offering, not only to existing customers in the events and signage market but also to new clients in sectors such as POP and packaging.
"With the Inca Onset S40 we can print at a much higher quality at ten times the speed, in six colours, than with our existing Inca Columbias, and we have the choice of gloss and matt finishes."
The Inca Onset 240 can produce point-of-sale quality display graphics at throughput speeds of up to 470sqm/hour.
