The machine, which will be available from mid 2011, was launched at the Tokyo edition of the Canon Expo today (11 November).

Océ's new engine can print up to 1,000 A4 pages per minute and can be configured in a basic black and white model up to a full-colour iteration.
According to Océ, the 3500 system can output up to 12m A4 pages a month in a single engine configuration and double that on a dual setup.
The machine can print up to 75 metres per minute with a print width of 540mm, equal to 505 A4-sized pages each minute on a single unit and 1,010 A4 on a double machine.
Sebastian Landesberger, executive vice president of Océ Production Printing, said: "With the new Océ ColorStream 3500 printing system, we listened to the market: we have expanded our inkjet offering with a solution that combines the quality, flexibility and full-color productivity.
"Now, offset printers can move to full color with a minimal impact on their infrastructure. They can then extend their range of print services, resulting in a highly attractive business model."
