Now Print meets growing customer base with Duplo spend

Digital printer Now Print has moved to better cater for its growing customer base with a 30,000 spend on Duplo finishing equipment.

The Worcester-based company bought a Duplo DC-445 automatic creaser, DB-280 perfect binder and Duplo DBM-120/T Bookletmaking system from Duplo supplier Docu-Finish Solutions.

Now Print moved to a new larger facility in April 2011 at the same time as launching a self-publishing service for local authors.

A combination of the additional work from the service, and the extra cpacity available at the new premises put pressure on its finishing department.

Managing director Stuart Burton said: "The team was cutting the fore-edge of all our booklet work on a guillotine which was unnecessarily time-consuming.

"In a small business like ours, you can’t afford to waste skilled manpower doing laborious tasks like that."

Now Print is using the DC-445 to crease book covers which are then used in their new DB-280 perfect binder.
