The project to build the plant, first revealed by PrintWeek in February, was granted planning approval by North Lincolnshire Council on Wednesday.
When the new plant comes on line in September 2007, it will replace three Northcliffe plants at Hull, Grimsby and Lincoln and will print regional titles including the Hull Daily Mail, the Grimsby Telegraph, the Scunthorpe Telegraph and the Lincolnshire Echo.
Editions of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday will also be produced at the plant, which forms part of a massive ongoing print investment by Northcliffe parent Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT).
