Norprint Labelling Systems has opened the doors to a new digital print centre.
The centre is located within its Boston, Lincolnshire HQ and built around an Indigo WebStream digital press.
It meets the needs of the short-run, self-adhesive sector and similar unsupported film, paper or card-based products.
Sales manager Gareth Partlett, who handles strategic development, said label or package specifiers could have litho quality printing up to six colours and a wide range of reel-fed substrates with lamination and adhesives.
Norprints team works from design to print using latest-generation design software, he said. We wanted a separate digital centre rather than simply installing a machine on the factory, to ensure customers get the most out of the process, he added.
Administration manager Ray North said: Digital quality is seriously good, response has been tremendous and there is no time to trial new materials because of orders.
It aims to add a finishing line for varnish, pre-treatment and die cutting to the digital centre shortly.
