Nishad Deshmukh, a first generation entrepreneur, was the founder of Career Consultants & Publications in 2000. Subsequently he published quality textbooks and reference books in pharmaceutical sciences and coaching pharmacy students for their PG entrance examinations.
He was the winner of the British Council Young Communications Publishing Entrepreneur award in 2009.
Deshmukh was a person who enjoyed to live in a constructive and creative life and was open to new experiences and new ideas and worked relentlessly to realise his ideas.
Ethics and trust were the values he held close to his heart; therefore his interactions with the people were enjoyable and fruitful, said Suhani Singh, editorial correspondent for PrintWeek India who attended Globalocal in New Delhi. "It's unbelievable because there he was at Glocal asking questions."

Shinde was aiming to accomplish his mission of 'empowering learners', which would help in building up professionals to run the publishing houses.
