NexPress Solutions has revealed that the first European installation of its NexPress 2100 will take place in Germany.
A UK installation in the south-east of England is set to roll out in the next four to eight weeks, closely followed by one in France.
"A significant number of early placements of the 2100 are due to span out over the next few months," said NexPress Solutions president Venkat Purushotham.
The announcement comes after US firms Cohber Press in Rochester and Spire in Boston installed the first two NexPress 2100s.
NexPress has also formed a partnership with CSP, a German developer and manufacturer of printer connectivity software and hardware.
This ties in with NexPress plans to develop the product with the aid of third-party vendors.
NexPress will also work with Datalogics, a provider of high-end publishing applications, to provide a variable data solution for creating and delivering one-to-one personalised communications.
The company is also due to announce more technology developments at Print 01 in Chicago, along with the increasing of manufacturing for the 2100.
Purushotham said that "a bank of 2100s" was being produced at Heidelbergs Kiel manufacturing site.
Production at Kiel and Rochester is due to be increased from tens of units a month to hundreds.
"The NexPress will be the manifestation of many products that will roll out over the next five years," said Purushotham.
