NewspaperDirect expands into Gulf

Digital newspaper network NewspaperDirect has expanded its reach into the Persian Gulf.

The same-day specialist has partnered with UAE printer Atlas Media Communications to provide 1,400 of its publications across the region.

Among the international titles handled by the company are the Daily Mail, The Independent, the Guardian, The Times, the Daily Telegraph, The Sun, and The Scotsman.

Newspapers are made available on the same day that they are available in the country of their origin.

NewspaperDirect chief executive Alex Kroogman said: "Atlas brings over 16 years of experience in the commercial printing and distribution business to our digital print network.

"Its reputation for innovative technology, superior quality and impeccable service make it the ideal solution provider to exceed the expectations of our publishing partners today and into the future."

Last February, Atlas signed a deal to distribute for another digital newspaper network, Newsworld.
