Only its flagship title The Sun is absent from the iPad app portfolio, after its two broadsheet titles, The Times and Sunday Times, launched iPad editions in the last few months.
However, those hoping that one of the world's biggest publishers will continue to support print will be pleased by its pricing policy. While the News of the World is still £1, its online cousin is £1.19, although its debut was free.
The Sunday redtop's first app edition was launched this week, allowing users to download every element of the Sunday newspaper, along with additional videos.
Rachel Richardson, digital editor of the News of the World, said: "The iPad app is yet another way our readers can experience the News of the World every Sunday, wherever they are.
"This has come just in time for any readers hoping to receive an iPad this Christmas, as they’ll be able to enjoy the Boxing Day edition of News of the World on Sunday December 26 without even leaving the house."
