Printing of the newspaper started on the company's Screen Truepress Jet520 – the first of the company's four planned installations for the system in 2009.
The move follows on from a previously announced deal between Associated Newspapers and Newsworld to distribute the paper in New York.
Alphagraphics is running the Truepress Jet250, which can print up to 128m per minute, in conjunction with a Hunkeler newspaper finishing system, at its site near New York's Newark airport.
David Renouf, chief executive of Newsworld, said: "Seeing that first copy come off the press was a fantastic moment, everybody involved (Newsworld, Screen, Hunkeler, Alphagraphics) has invested a great deal in making this happen and we all feel that this is just the start of a revolution in the way that newspapers are produced."
The corporation plans to increase the number of titles printed on the Screen press by the end of March, running the machine to near capacity.
Screen's European president Brian Forsdike, said: "We are delighted to be working with Newsworld on this ground-breaking project and hope that this will be the first of many installations."
