The firm's new ST8000 vertical model "bristles with servo motors for automatic makeready, yet it retains the ability to do fine touches by hand if required," explained Mike Hall, sales director at UK distributor Press & Bindery Systems.
The machine also features fresh ergonomic styling, and the first installation in the world of the new model will be in the UK, at an as-yet unnamed customer.
Civiemme is the biggest supplier of log stackers worldwide, but up until now has focused on vertical stacking technology. With the new ST9000 it has brought its expertise to the horizontal format. "Some clients believe that's the right way, so we're giving them the choice," Hall added.
