According to the firm the new software, smartapps, is a "secure, flexible online document creation and management system".
The package comprises smartdocs, a template document system, smart-forum, for collaborative management, and smartedgar, an automated conversion system for SEC filings.
The move away from the Burrups brand, which has been in use for 377 years, is part of a drive to "focus on the St Ives name".
"We have increasingly found that our customers are seeking a wider range of services, often involving our sister companies within the St Ives Group," said St Ives Financial divisional director Andrew Langdale.
The division operates in sectors including public finance, insurance, corporate reporting and investment banking.
Its services include financial printing, mailing and fulfilment, project management and online.
