It has relocated to a 2,322sqm facility in Edmonton, north London.
A bespoke Lamina mounting machine, which has been specially built to achieve 1,625x2,500mm, has already been installed at the facility, while a secondhand Steineman UV Matt 126 coater is currently being added.
In the coming weeks, another bespoke machine, a large format 1,650x3,000mm Platen die cutter, will be added.
PPFS believes that the company is the only trade finisher in the south of England to offer services to the size it does.
According to sales director Simon Eyre, the company has been moving slowly into the larger-format work during the past few years and saw an opportunity in the current financial climate to make the move.
He said: "We looked around at the competition and they were all staying in the smaller-format work, some of them were going bust. Some of them were becoming printers and trying to dabble in everything, but we knew a lot of our customers wouldn't be happy with us doing that.
"We pride ourselves in being a trade finishing outfit over and above anything else that is out there. With the new facility we are trying to get away from the traditional grotty perception of a trade finisher. We have a clean facility and our next step is to go after the ISOs."
