Zund, the Swiss manufacturer, unveiled the new automated board loading and unloading system for the first time.
Designed with the aim of increasing productivity for users, while at the same time reducing manual handling and the need for additional manpower, the board handling system is capable of running unattended.
The retrofittable system is aimed at point-of-sale, signage, and packaging printers and is compatible with Zünd’s XL 3200 and L3200 cutting tables. It can cut formats of up to 2,000x3,000mm.
As well as the facility to handle bulk production runs without intervention, it also incorporates the flexibility to handle one-offs and short-runs. Zünd described the materials transport system as "unique" because it does not require bridging devices.
