Neschen Coating has arrived at Fespa 2024 with a brand-new laminator and wide stock of sustainable media.
The ColdLam 1650 SW was launched in January 2024. A 1,650mm-wide laminator capable of 8m/min, the SW has been updated with two swing-out shafts to aid media handling. It will mark its Fespa debut alongside its sister machine, the EcoLam 1650.
Both machines will feature in live demonstrations.
Also on display at the German manufacturer’s stand (10-A10) is its full range of PVC-free media.
“The expo is an important platform to showcase our product portfolio and receive customer feedback,” said Richard Bachora, head of Neschen’s graphics business unit, who emphasised environmental performance as a priority for both printers and their end clients.
“Sustainability is a core concern. We offer PVC-free alternatives for almost all areas of our portfolio, and present environmentally friendly solutions that meet the highest quality standards.”
Moritz Weber, Neschen’s head of marketing, added that he expected sustainability to feature heavily over the next days of the show.
“The top trend is the market demand for PVC-free substrates. We’ve developed a huge range of PVC-free materials over the past few years, and the market demand is growing,” he said.
“Sustainability will be key – and the regulations of the EU [will make sure of that]. Everybody has to move in this direction.”
Neschen, which began life manufacturing self-adhesive sticking plasters in 1889, will also be highlighting the capabilities of its Easy Dot technology at the show. Easy Dot essentially eliminates air bubbles when applying self-adhesive media, by allowing air to escape via channels created by the dot shaped adhesive.
Neschen CEO Nils Honscha said Easy Dot technology was core to the company's product offering.
"Neschen is proud to continue setting standards as the inventor of the East Dot. This innovative adhesive technology remains an essential part of our product portfolio."
