The BravoPlus, unveiled at an international open house at the firms Swiss headquarters this week, features a range of functions previously only available on higher-end stitchers.
The new machine, which is fully CIP4 (JDF)-compatible, features Mullers AMRYS (Automatic Make Ready System) technology, which cuts makeready times in half, the firm claims.
Muller demonstrated a job changeover from an A4 magazine to an A5 booklet with separate cover and tip-on in around two minutes.
Data can be fed into the machine via a touchscreen or via a JDF file. AMRYS then automatically sets the feeder, stitching machine, three-knife trimmer and compensating stacker.
Pricing depends on configuration, but will be broadly in line with the existing Bravo range.
The BravoPlus can handle formats from DIN A6 to DIN A3 at its fully rated speed of 12,000cph, and is available with up to 14 feeders.
Muller is also offering fully integrated AMRYS and CIP4 compliance on its 14,000cph stitcher, now called PrimaPlus. It had previously been using ScenicSofts UpFront software to make it CIP4 compatible.
