Much room for improvement, says ViP study

Vision in Print will reveal the results of its International Productivity Study at a seminar next month.

The detailed benchmarking study has been carried out over several months, and focused on book and web offset printing in the UK and mainland Europe. It aims to give firms reliable data for benchmarking their own performance against competitors at home and abroad.

Vision in Print chief executive Richard Gray said: "In web offset there is an extraordinary range of opportunity for improvement within the UK productivity is very varied. In books it is a slightly different picture as it is largely a monochrome industry in the UK. However, there was no-one that couldn't make decisive improvements in productivity."

The seminar takes place at the DTI Conference Centre in London on 30 November. Book online at www.visioninprint.co.uk.
