The US-headquartered company already has thousands of users working remotely around the world.
Chief executive Patrick Kremer said: “In the past, the driver for remote work has typically been optimising via virtual shared service centres spread across regions or across the globe.
“In today’s Covids environment, nearly everyone must from work for home and we are offering use of the platform to new customers for no charge during this shelter in place period.”
Kremer said the firm had been inspired by the US and UK governments' plea that businesses should try to find ways they can contribute during this time of need.
The firm’s cloud-based sourcing platform is used by a wide range of blue-chip companies, including Mondelez and Xerox.
It encompasses creation and design, proofing, digital asset management, procurement, online catalogues, and analytics.
Mtivity is offering a starter configuration free of charge for six months.
The firm has a stepped process for rapidly enabling people to work from home and there is no ongoing commitment.
Mtivity founder James Mason commented: “Our clients typically encounter two major challenges when transitioning operations team to a remote/home work environment. The first is ensuring the team is comfortable with new levels of oversight, control and authority that become possible in an automated environment. This often includes controlling sales and purchase commitments and across the board the guidance and knowledge being driven by a system rather than a person.
“The second is understanding and appreciating the value that large amounts of structured data can bring to the business as a whole. This data can feed everything from specifications, to RFPs, to managing suppliers, to demonstrating commercial value to internal and external clients, and enables detailed historical analysis. Suddenly a buyer has the knowledge of 100s of experts at their fingertips.”
Mtivity is including online training videos, secure hosted storage, and online support. It said it guaranteed the privacy and customer ownership of data.
