Midway rolls out 21 different foil-blocked covers for Bond-themed Total Film

Midway Colour Print has helped commemorate what would be James Bond author Ian Fleming's 100th birthday by producing 21 different 007-themed covers for the April issue of Total Film magazine.

The Holt, Wiltshire-based printer produced the four-colour covers over the course of eight days using its Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102 press.

Each cover was silver foil blocked with the exception of one subscriber-only gold foil version. The printer used Stora Enso's 270gsm Lumiart stock for the job.

Southernprint produced the rest of the 176pp magazine, using its 16pp Komori System presses and its Heidelberg M4000 web press.

The 150,000-run magazine was printed on 70gsm stock before being bound on a Muller Martini Corona binding line.

Simon Maxwell, film portfolio group publisher at publishing house Future, said: "We have worked closely with [production companies] MGM and EON to secure this fantastic set of covers and are thrilled with the result."

The magazine goes on sale 21 February 2007 with a cover price of £3.80.
