The printer, which has opted to use Fujifilm Brillia PRO-VN plate on its new plate-making line, previously printed newspapers at three different sites.
MNA production manager Alan Palin said: "We decided that it would be more cost-effective to print all our daily newspapers at one location, which meant our required output doubled.
"We have a high output, so we need a reliable plate system that requires less maintenance and waste management," Palin added. "MNA has been using Fujifilm’s plates for over 13 years, so we were confident that they are reliable and good quality."
MNA prints 1.2m copies of daily and weekly titles, including regional newspapers the Shropshire Star and Express and Star, on its two Goss Colorliner 80 presses.
The company said the new CTP line and PRO-VN plates are helping to ensure that MNA can keep up with day-to-day production at its Telford plant.
