The Middlesex company, traditionally a map printer, has strengthened its offering in the retail and point-of-sale markets with the press, and claims it has already picked up four new clients since the spend it.
The 16-staff firm opted for the press, which originally ran at Frome printer Butler and Tanner, to keep up to speed with current technology and improve turnaround times.
The £2.5m turnover printer runs alongside two six-colour Roland 800 presses and has been producing display graphics and marketing work for customers in the retail, cosmetic and cinema sectors.
Simon Beard, sales director at Victoria Litho, said: "Our new press gives us an extra dimension. It provides us with extra firepower, which helps us to remain competitive."
Victoria's new machine will complement a soon to be installed Agfa Avalon N24/36 platesetter running Agfa plates.
The new CTP ups the company's platesetting output to four, four-colour sets of plates an hour, "against our existing four-colour set up of 32 minutes", which will complement the semi automated make-readies on KBA.
He added: "With a four-colour make ready in 20mins, it's a no brainer really."
