Messe Düsseldorf has revamped the responsibilities of its senior management team which means a change of managing director for Drupa.

As of 1 August Marius Berlemann became the new managing director for operations, and takes over responsibility for watersports show Boot from president and CEO Wolfram Diener.

The Messe explained that as a result, and following the retirement of longstanding operative managing director Erhard Wienkamp at the end of last month, Drupa would now come under the remit of Diener, who is already the senior executive for many of its other industrial trade shows including Interpack.

He commented: “Our trade fair portfolios are now organised in such a way to foster the best possible synergies in the coming years. That’s how we’ll reinforce the leading position of our trade shows in Düsseldorf and worldwide – while further driving their growth.”

There is no change at Drupa itself, where Sabine Geldermann will continue as director of Drupa and the Messe’s Print Technology portfolio.
