McNaughton confirms MoDo branch closures

James McNaughton has confirmed the branches that have been closed following its purchase of Map Merchant sister company, MoDo Merchants.

The sites affected are the former MoDo offices at Leeds, Bristol, Cardiff, Scotland and Warrington. All locations were sites where there had previously been an office of both MoDo and McNaughton.

McNaughton chief executive Ian George confirmed that 55 positions had gone, but some of these had been prior to the purchase of MoDo. A number of the staff affected were re-employed elsewhere within Map Merchants.

In addition former MoDo sites at Biggleswade and Dartford have been shut. Staff have been moved to other branches in the south east.

MoDo's site at Brooklands remains, but trades under the McNaughton name.
