DeskPack extends Adobe Illustrator with a series of plug-ins, including an interactive trapping tool called trapX, which uses the ColorStitch trapping engine on the DeskPack server.
Thames McGurk director Paul Fraine said: "Its fantastic for packaging design and artwork agencies that want easy entry into repro without investing in expensive hardware up front."
Thames McGurk was formed three years ago, when Hull-based McGurk Studios bought a share of Thames Studios.
Thames McGurk specialises in repro for litho and gravure processes, while McGurk Studios handles flexo repro.
Esko-Graphics said that it will soon release DeskPack for Adobe Acrobat.
