According to managing director Paul Briggs the firm has made 16 press sales, 10 of which have been the new Mark Andy LP3000 flexo line launched last year. He added that he was "delighted" with the sales in what was a "slow market".
"Market research indicates that we account for around 40% of UK and Ireland sales in the press sizes we compete in," said Briggs. "This is a firm foundation."
This year Mark Andy previewed its servo-driven XP5000 at LabelExpo in Chicago. The product is scheduled to go on the market in spring 2005 and will be the second of the firm's three new lines. The third, the XT platform series, is set to be previewed at LabelExpo 2005 in Brussels.
