The company believes that the new machine will save around £75,000 a year in outsourcing bills.
Bridge Communications has just put a run of 4.5m postcards through the new machine. Before the investment this type of work would have been done by a trade finisher.
Bridge Communications joint managing director Dave Gwalter, said, "About 90% of our work now has some element of diecutting and the jobs we were outsourcing were above and beyond the work we were able to diecut, slowly, in-house on cylinder machines."
"The Bobst name is synonymous with diecutting. Having seen some Commercial 106's in production we could see that it was going to be the perfect machine for the high speed diecutting and stripping of our B1 work."
Major saving for Bridge Communications following Bobst investment
Direct mail specialist Bridge Communications has invested in a new commercial 106 diecutter from Bobst.
