Lyson poised to enter UV

Digital ink-jet manufacturer Lyson is set to enter into the UV market for the first time later this year.

The firm was exhibiting alongside its hardware subsidiary Tiara Systems at Drupa and was showcasing its new Campaign ink for short cycle outdoor displays.

"The UV sector will be our next focus. We are currently making an investment in that area and, with other companies establishing themselves in this market we felt it was time to move in," said Tiara Systems sales manager Shaun Holdom.

Although he was tight lipped on when products would be launched, Holdom said that Tiara products were in development to incorporate UV inks.

Campaign was first showcased at Sign UK in March alongside its new grand-format printer Tiara Tourmaline.
