A deal to purchase the 150-year-old Ipswich printer was completed last Friday (12 September), following a targeted local sales campaign by Calver's liquidator Ensors Chartered Accountants.
Keith Gostling, previous owner of Calver Press, said modern offices and technology had helped eliminate the demand for print, and this, coupled with the poor economic climate, had aided the demise of the long-standing company.
Calver Press prints a range of products including leaflets, letters and calendars.
John Bafico, owner of the Felixstowe-based Felix Press, confirmed the deal but declined to comment further.
Six jobs were lost when the printer closed in August. It is reported that Bafico is to initially take on one former staff member.
