Livery Co expands members

Companies from the graphic arts and communications industries are being invited to become corporate members of The Stationers and Newspaper Makers Company.

The Livery Company, which is celebrating its 600th anniversary, has already signed up Heidelberg, DS Smith, Sun Chemical and Cambridge University Press (CUP), and two further firms are set to join.

"The Livery includes publishers, in both the printed and electronic media, newspapermen, bookbinders, paper makers, relevant equipment manufacturers, stationers in the modern sense of the word and yes, printers," said CUP chief executive Stephen Bourne.

"What's important is that the Company has recognised that printing is just one component of the communications game," he added.

The Company is based in the historic Stationers' Hall in the City of London, which provided the backdrop for the Power 100 photoshoot (see p24). The hall can be used for social events and meetings.
